Product information "PLB McMurdo Fastfind 220"
Inexpensive compact personal emergency transmitter (PLB). Sends a distress signal on 406 MHz with accurate position through internal 50-channel-GPS. Global receiption by the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite system. Additional homing signal on 121.5 MHz for SAR services. Integrated SOS LED light, Lithium battery with approximately 6 years service interval. Temperatur range -20 ° C to +55° C, dimensions: 34 x 47 x 106 mm, weight 120 g. Supplied with documents for personal registration in the UK, carrying case, lanyard and buoyancy pouch.

Sehr schnelle Lieferung , leider nur mit Englische Anleitung, diese konnte ich aber aus dem Netz erhalten

I bought it to go gliding in France . But it is a UK PLB, to be registered in the UK, which replied they have at least 10 weeks delay to do so ( i.e after the flying season )
Plus I was told that if activated in France, being a UK PLB, the UK will be given SAR authority first, then, based on location , will pass it on to France, , which will mean delay in sending rescue , typically 20-30 min more than if it was a French PLB registered in France.

I am not sure this is known to everyone buying PLBs in your site.

Hopefully I never have to use it.
