Product information "Air navigation computer Aviat 617"

Functions and fields of application: multiplications, divisions, velocity calculations, route / time calculations, fuel consumption. Determination of airspeed, true altitude and density, Mach number, barometric navigation functions. The conversion of metrical into English measuring units, of liquid measurements into weight measurements, and of °C into °F (and vice versa) allow for simple markings and special scales.
The results of wind triangle calculations can be determined through the wind slide-rule. The wind slide-rule features radial drift off lines and concentric arcs; the diagrams B, G, and H offer quadratically divided fields for the calculation of rectangular triangles.
A turning indicator with wind speed divisions that are compatible with the different diagrams is attached to the transparent and frosted drawing area above the wind slide-rule. Size: 140 x 250 mm. Extent of supply inclusive of instructions in German and a case.

Dependent on the flight speed diagrams with the following speed ranges are usable:
60 - 350 Diagram A
100 - 500 Diagram B
300 - 1000 Diagram G
40 - 250 Diagram H

Für den Preis ist die Qualität eigentlich schlecht. Das Etui als Kuntliches Leder und die Geschwindigkeit Diagramme enthielten Grate und die rote Skala fürs \"Air Speed\" war nicht vollkommen einsehbar. Leider kann ich es nicht empfehlen.

Zwar gut, aber nicht so gut wie die baugleichen originalen Aristo Aviats. Diese sind leichtgängiger und haben eine feinere Skala. Man merkt halt auch hier, dass die Zeiten, in denen regelmäßig mit einem Rechenschieber gearbeitet wurde, langsam vorbei sind.
