Product information "Spot Gen4"

SPOT Gen4 provides emergency call, distress call, OK message and tracking in one single device. SPOT uses telephone satellites of the Globalstar system (one-way transmitter only) and transmits the position of the internal GPS receiver. The quality of the Globalstar network coverage allows almost worldwide operation.

Functions:

SOS: Sends an emergency call with the exact location to the GEOS rescue center if you need immediate help. GEOS alerts the local emergency services.
Help: In less urgent situations you can inform your friends or family via SMS or e-mail about your current position. By means of a link the recipient can detect your current location in Google Maps.
Check In /OK: Sends an OK message with your position via SMS or e-mail. A perfect way to reassure relatives and friends that everything is OK, even from remote areas without mobile phone coverage.
Basic Tracking: Transmits your position every 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes. Give access to selected persons to track you live in Google Maps. A perfect tool also for flight instructors who would like to supervise students during cross country flights.

Solid, dust and water-repellent housing acc. IP68, internal satellite modem and GPS receiver. Temperature range: -30° C to +60° C, maximum altitude 21.000 ft, dimensions: 88 x 67 x 24 mm, weight 142 g with lithium batteries . Powered by rechargeable NiMH Energizer ™ batteries (not included) or lithium micro batteries (AAA).

Extent of supply: SPOT Gen4 , four lithium batteries (AAA), quick start guide, USB charging cable, strap with carabiner.

SPOT does not replace an ELT when the use of an ELT is mandatory.

To use the SPOT GEN4, a service with the service provider is required, incurring additional fees. These fees are not included in the purchase price. Service activation is done online, and a credit card is required for payment. The services cannot be purchased through us.

SPOT GEN4 Plans:

Unlimited check-in and SOS messages for all plans.

Basic Plan: €17.79 per month for a 12-month term, activation fee €35.94. Optional Extreme Tracking at an additional €7.08 per month.

Flex Basic Plan: €21.36 per month (minimum 1-month term), activation fee €35.94, Flex fee €39.69. Optional Extreme Tracking at an additional €8.63 per month.
