In the Aera 760, the pilot will find many familiar features and controls from other devices in the Aera series as well as the Garmin cockpit devices, which make the transition to the new device easier. The Jeppesen Atlantic International Database provides information on aerodromes, VORs, NDBs, intersections and airspaces. In addition to the classic moving map display, a3D display is available.
The following optional charts can be installed in the unit: Jeppesen VFR and IFR airport and approach charts as well as ICAO charts Germany and other VFR charts for Europe.
Using Bluetooth® connectivity via Garmin Connext technology, the aera 760 easily interfaces with compatible devices to cut the clutter in your cockpit and improve your flying experience. With a Garmin GDL® 50 portable ADS-B/ receiver or GTX 345 all-in-one ADS-B transponder, you can access and display ADS-B advanced traffic alerts It even allows wireless control of Garmin VIRB® action cameras to start and stop recording and capture photos. With optional cables, it can be connected to Garmin on-board devices such as GTN 650/750 and GNS 430W/530W to exchange routes. When compatible Garmin NAV/COMs are connected, frequencies and airport IDs can be passed from the Aera 760.
