Whether you're replacing an old Classic device or looking for a portable solution for gliders, powered aircraft, or helicopters, PowerFLARM Flex is the perfect choice. Traffic warning based on FLARM and ADS-B. For a warning of other aircraft, the device transmits its own position via the FLARM system.
Perfect Visibility
The revolutionary hybrid display ensures optimal readability under all lighting conditions. The proven directional display with ultra-bright LEDs remains clearly visible even in sunlight and dims automatically at night to avoid dazzling the pilot. The bright 1.47-inch LCD provides additional information about nearby aircraft and enables user-friendly configuration. Operation via the rotary knob is straightforward.
Installation? Not needed!
Say goodbye to cable clutter—all antennas are fully integrated into the housing. The patent-pending FLARM antenna, developed and optimized using advanced numerical engineering methods, offers excellent range in all directions. ADS-B In (1090 MHz) is integrated by default. PowerFLARM Flex is so compact it fits easily onto any instrument panel.
Simple setup, updates, and flight data retrieval via Wi-Fi using the web interface.
Optimal connectivity with apps and other devices
PowerFLARM Flex offers a wide range of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity options and can be paired with popular navigation systems such as Air Navigation Pro, SkyDemon, Sky.Map, ForeFlight, EasyVFR, iPilot, and XC Soar. In addition to the FLARM data protocol (ICD), it also supports the GDL 90 protocol, commonly used by many apps.
Full Autonomy
Experience full autonomy with a Li-ion battery in the standard 18650 format, offering up to 10 hours of operation. Need more? The battery can even be swapped mid-flight. Charge it via a 5V USB-C charger or a 12V power supply. PowerFLARM Flex can also operate without a battery.
The perfect replacement for FLARM Classic
PowerFLARM Flex is ideal for upgrading old F5 and F6 Classic installations. It is only slightly larger, uses the familiar RJ-45 socket, but offers significantly more functionality and a much better range.
Everything is better!
PowerFLARM Flex comes with a range of software improvements. InstaCARP is a new method for measuring range performance and provides results within minutes after the flight. The 1090 MHz receiver now also supports Mode-C signals. The completely redesigned flight recording system uses a dedicated crypto chip for impenetrable security (IGC certification pending).
